Everyone Has His Merits

The celestial-poet and the sage-poet were of great literary grace
Dare they compete with Zhang Xu in calligraphy skills?
Everyone has his merits so he should be confident
He surely is an expert when he’s skillful in his special field

Note: Li Bai and Du Fu, were the most famous poets in the history of China, they were highly appraised as the celestial-poet and the sage-poet respectively. Zhang Xu was famous for his brush cursive Chinese character calligraphy. These three talented persons all lived in Tang dynasty around 750 AD.

这个翻译比较正确的是

诗圣 poet-sage (an epithet for Du Fu) 括号里的注释应该加在结尾的附注里

诗仙 poet-immortal (an epithet for Li Bai) 同上

换成 strong points 是否更好些呢？

我的感觉是
带介词的短语不如偏正短语
偏正短语不如单一名词
但我还找不到最恰当的

根据文中的意思可以变化这是我查到的比较好的翻译

多谢firefly和卧龙先生的意见和讨论，或许“诗仙”和“诗圣”的英译还真是两个没有权威定论的悬疑译案呢。综合各位的意见，我将它们分别改译为celestial-poet和sage-poet，似乎更符合中文本义。
