Seven-words Poem At the End of the Year By William He
Crow calls are mingling with the waves on beach, Sunset flames melting slowly on the water near. Who feels compassion for wild goose shadow, Fish gills breathing in dissolved oxygen in here. The eventide forest devouring that magic light, Coasts conceit to sail toward Siren's rocky isle. Clouds sway on cradle of the dark wind with toil, Evening tide is whispering about a different sea.
Notes: “Dissolved oxygen”: Dissolved Oxygen is the amount of gaseous oxygen (O2) dissolved in the water. Water temperature and the volume of moving water can affect dissolved oxygen levels. Oxygen dissolves easier in cooler water than warmer water. “Siren”: In ancient Greek mythology, a Siren is a hybrid creature with the body of a bird and the head of a human. Sirens are traditionally understood to be female, but similar figures with beards can be labeled either as Sirens or as daemons. Sirens are dangerous creatures who live on rocky islands and lure sailors to their doom with their sweet song. "The Dark Wind": A 1991 American mystery drama film based on The Dark Wind by Tony Hillerman, one of a series of mysteries set against contemporary Navajo life in the Southwest. As Officer Jim Chee (Lou Diamond Phillips) watches a windmill, trying to catch the vandal repeatedly sabotaging it, a small plane crashes nearby. Thus begins a tangled story.
