    论剥毛豆的艺术

如今我才耐下性子来剥毛豆

豆子因滚圆的身材撑出了

明显的轮廓而脸色发青

这让我刚剪过的指甲很不舒服

我刚告诉女儿一个秘密：

在烈日下引爆自己

是豆子传播自己的方式

一粒豆子就从我

拇指和食指间的豆荚里蹦了出来

如此之快，像一枚炮弹

瞬间完成了它的一生

            On the Art of Peeling Soya Beans

Now that I have calmed myself down I start to peel the soya beans

The beans have become dark-green faced

After expanding their round bodies into apparent contours

Which make my newly-manicured fingernails very uncomfortable

The moment I had finished telling my daughter the secret:

Exploding themselves in the blazing sun

Is the way beans are spread

A bean jumped

Out of the pod between my thumb and my index finger

Fast as a lobbed shell,

Finishing its life in a flash

在银行，镜子作为告密者
残暴地推着我们

沿着一双着了黑丝的腿向上
我望见一张脸
因涂抹过多而充满了战斗力

但我隔着的， 是善于出卖的镜子
它迅速还原了它的憔悴
（她正低头数钱，准备寄往家乡？）

而我的左侧，是我年轻的女儿
玫瑰花般的小脸上
未来毫无征兆

但她似乎感觉到什么
挽着我的手臂紧了又紧
冲镜子做了个鬼脸

A Poem to My Daughter

In the bank, the mirror as an informant
Jostled us rudely

Following a pair of black-silk stockinged legs
I saw a face
Full of combat force as a result of too much application of cosmetics

But what separated me, was the mirror which is adept at betraying
It soon uncovered its haggardness
( She was lowering her head counting the money.  Was she going to send it home? )

Meanwhile on my left was my young daughter
With nothing predictable
On her little rosy face

But she seemed to have sensed something
Her arm repeatedly tightening her grips  on me
Making faces at the mirror

有时我装作幸福的样子
挂在枝头。此刻不是，但我不能说
之前我是青色的，苦涩的
此刻是红色的甜，但我不能说

这一片午后的光阴，因你的注视
而发出了幸福的光芒
你带来了透明的空气，灿烂的阳光
和令人几乎喜极而泣的静谧……

这些发出颤音的句子多么可笑啊
我不能说， 我必须避开一些词
必须闭嘴，必须继续挂在朝阳的一面
为自己积攒更多的香气


Apple

Sometimes I make myself out to be happy
Dangling from the tip of the branch. Not now, but I cannot tell
Once I was green and sour
Now I am red and sweet, but I cannot tell

The afternoon hours, because of your gaze
Are flushed with happiness
You have brought the transparent air, the splendid sunshine
And the stillness almost to bring tears of happiness

How ridiculous are the sentences with a quaver in them
I cannot tell, I must avoid certain words
I must shut my mouth, I must go on hanging on the sunny side
To gather more fragrance for myself

黄昏，雨后，起风了，窗前的梅树叶
哗哗作响。我跟着它们走远——

无非是遇见过你，或他
无非是，在春水之上的小桥旁，泪流

无非是市声沸沸，我们曾深陷其中
又哭又笑，仿佛永恒

如今，所有的人都走光了。就这样吧
我怀着几分疏远，几分寂寥，坐在这里

仿佛厌世，仿佛失忆，其实是比过去
对这个世界有了更多的热爱


Another Kind of Perfection

So be it. I sink deep into the zebra striped comfy sofa
Whose softness, feels like mother’s womb

In the evening a wind arises after the rain, the leaves of the plum trees in front of the window
Swishing. Following them I go afar—

Nothing but that I have met you, or him
Nothing but tears, beside the small bridge over the spring water

Nothing but the noise of the city, in which we were once immersed
Now crying now laughing, as if it were an eternity

Now, everyone is gone. So it be
I am sort of detached, sort of lonely, sitting here

Seemingly world-weary, seemingly lost of memory, I have in fact
A greater love for the world than before
