The Lantern Festival

Evening tide keeps on multiplying puzzles. And pulses quicken, Something beneath it. The egret spellbound by the magic sight. Hearts beat high in ecstasy， In clusters and rings of light. Visual memory revealing flashes.
The sky comes alive with the citrus lamps. The silvery Los Zancos walk and gleam. Glittering drones cross roman candles just. Rowboats unfolded in a drama, Triton sights the Milky Way. Going where St. Martin hints.

Notes: “Los Zancos”: 1984 Directed by Carlos Saura. Angel is an aging professor, a lonely widower without purpose. His lovely, spirited neighbor, Terese, interrupts his suicide attempt when she comes to borrow wine. He meets her lover, Alberto, and their young child. Terese captivates him, he develops a school-boy's crush, and when Alberto invites him to write something for their theatre troupe, called the Stilts, he jumps at the chance. When he's not writing, he spends every waking hour with the Stilts. “Roman Candles”: A Roman Candle is a long tube that fires small balls in succession, depending on a number of shots and grams in a roman candle they can be comparable to a 200-gram cake. The diameter of a roman candle can range from a couple millimeters to a couple of inches. “Triton” In Greek mythology, a merman, demigod of the sea; he was the son of the sea god, Poseidon, and his wife, Amphitrite. He was represented as human down to his waist, with the tail of a fish. Triton's special attribute was a twisted seashell, on which he blew to calm or raise the waves. “The Milky Way”: According to a Greek myth, Zeus once brought the infant to Hera to suckle on her milk while she was asleep, but she suddenly woke up and pushed him away. The drops of the spurting milk created the Milky Way, the galaxy that contains the Solar System. "St. Martin": Martin was the son of a tribune in the Roman army serving during the rule of the Roman Emperor Constantine I (311-337) who would become the first Christian Roman Emperor. In the evening on St. Martin's Day there are lantern processions in towns and cities all over Germany. Often they are lead by an actor impersonating the Saint, usually dressed up as a Roman soldier riding on a horse.
