　　西班牙的和尚们回来啦！上次惊艳世间的《Sakya Tashi Ling 释迦吉祥林》（西尔德斯神话已有推荐）让全世界乐迷知道，原来和尚念经也可以这么好听。直到时隔两年后的2008年5月13日，这拨身在巴塞罗那一间名为释迦吉祥林寺庙的 Buddhist Monks (Monjes Budistas) 佛教僧侣 才又发行了他们的第二张专辑《Live Mantra 生活的颂歌》。专辑为CD+DVD的双碟制式，在国内大多地方翻译作“心灵曼陀罗”，西尔德斯神话认为这个译名和原英文名相差太远，本不欲采用，但考虑到方便大家查找，因此保留下来。

　　这张令人惊喜的《Live Mantra 生活的颂歌/心灵曼陀罗》由西班牙富有创造性和声望的艺术家 Suso Sáiz 负责伴奏制作，从而完成了这13轨微妙而具有充分吸引力的乐曲。在专辑中，Buddhist Monks (Monjes Budistas) 佛教僧侣 从始至终向听者传递着平和与宁静的精神享受，也使得音乐具备了一定的愈疗作用。相对《Sakya Tashi Ling 释迦吉祥林》而言，《Live Mantra 生活的颂歌/心灵曼陀罗》减少了一些流行元素，大部分音乐的曲调比较平缓沉静，偏向冥想风格，更加贴近佛教的本质阐述。

Synth Pop起源于上世纪70年代的欧洲，“Synth”一词来源于对合成器“Synthesizer”的缩写。顾名思义，这种音乐首先是一种Pop音乐，即有简单上口的主旋律，同时又脱离了传统的电声乐器，而全部采用电子合成的音色。因此，Synth Pop的音乐具有一种冰冷神秘的未来感和让人迷醉的舞蹈节拍。

IGO乐队在音乐上继承了Synth Pop的精神，同时也融合了当前最时尚的音乐元素和技术。在复古风盛行的当今世界流行乐坛，IGO所作的并不是简单的模仿过去的辉煌，而是对Synth Pop进行一次真正有开创性的复兴。

2007年9月，IGO的首张专辑《Synth Love》将由国内最大的独立音乐厂牌“摩登天空”正式发行。9月下旬，IGO将在上海4Live和北京的锚分别举办新专辑的首发式演出。届时，同台演出的嘉宾是在这一年获得多项内地音乐大奖的新裤子乐队。

Kenny Wheeler, one of the composing and improvising giants of European jazz for 40 years or more, has waited a long time to write for a string quartet. Other People presents Wheeler's delicate brass sound (nowadays slightly querulous) and John Taylor's mercurial piano ruminations as the only improvising elements within the kind of poignant, doomed-romance, movie-theme setting that makes Wheeler's composing recognisable from the first fluttering cadence. He wrote all the pieces here, leaving a couple as through-composed works with no soloing at all. Wheeler's shy, glancing trumpet and flugelhorn lines, with their odd intervals and briefly ecstatic ascents to soft squeals, work beautifully with the lightness of the string group. And the melodies often shake off the leader's tendency to ennui, sounding unexpectedly and impulsively vivacious. Wheeler has written for the strings with real sympathy, folding subtly intertwining lines into his trademark materials of disguised Latin slow-swingers, low-key tangos and yearning ballads. His own improvising ingeniously plays off the shifting rhythms. Taylor's spare piano interventions (at times reminiscent of Keith Jarrett) are so sharply in contrast to the prevailing tonal atmosphere that they hugely expand the quiet eloquence of the set.

洛杉磯出身的創作歌手拉雅．亞布洛，近幾年在加州地區獲得不少樂評的美譽。而她的音樂成長背景也深具典型美國音樂影響，從爵士的根基到流行、節奏藍調或是拉丁音樂，不願被侷限於某種音樂型態的創作風格，使她繼戴安娜．克瑞兒與諾拉．瓊絲之後前途看好。  

從高中時期拉雅就開始譜寫歌曲，直到她在洛杉磯職業演出時都以自己的生活為創作來源。數年前她曾灌錄一張個人專輯，但是錄音尚未發行公司就倒閉。等到2007年被Telarc唱片發掘，拉雅的首張專輯不但歌曲收錄更完整，她的歌唱風格也更為成熟洗練。  

本輯收錄的12首歌曲中，拉雅發表8首個人創作，同時也負責11首歌曲的編曲。艾靈頓公爵的「Mood Indigo」和克里夫．布朗的名曲「Joy Spring」，被她詮釋成都會民謠的風貌；而自寫曲「Lord Knows I Would」與「Vice & Vanity」反而以輕淡的即興唱腔呈現鄉村、爵士與拉丁節奏的巧妙融合。這張專輯中她自己希望以最簡單的歌詞與灑脫的演唱來打動人心，伴以爵士樂即興伴奏與她成長的歷練，讓她的演藝生涯開創出亮麗的新局。-转载

荷蘭發燒錄音名廠STS Digital的出品，製作上乘，高燒效果每令發燒友心滿意足，例如數月前為慶賀Kharma成立25週年而面世的「煲機王2008」特別版 (編號:KARCD10002)，無不令發燒友以至音響從業員皆人手一張。還記得年初出版的一張《High-End Audiophile Test Demo SACD》。即「鑑聽王2008」，是一張包羅萬有的發燒精華專集，碟內第2首歌曲由歌聲甜美醉人的Shyla演唱 ，熟悉的流行旋律注入獨特演唱風格和爵士樂色彩，令筆者印象難忘。近日，STS Digital終於為Shyla Zoet出版其個人專集，14首歌曲全是熟悉經典，聽畢多遍，發覺Shyla歌唱技巧相當了得，腔韻滿情盡皆自然流露，聽感份外投入，值得為文共賞。
《Come Lounge with me》原是2005年的錄音室製作，也是荷蘭享負盛名的女歌手Shyla Zoet處女錄音，實際上她跟 Dream Term樂團合作多年，當地現場演唱無數，而Shyla本身是在Hilversum音樂學院任教唱歌，唱藝實而不華兼演唱經驗豐富，Fritz de With聽過 《Come Lounge With Me)原錄音後，感覺異常精彩，決定將原母帶重新混調重製，炮製更發燒版本，令Shyla醉人的甜美歌聲展現得更自然迷人。

Digi-Pack裝潢收錄14首歌曲全屬耳熟能詳的名曲翻唱，可聽性歷久不衰，以低音結他、鍵盤、結他和套鼓合奏出浪漫流行樂風，加入適量爵士和騷靈元素，新編節奏出色，獨特風格明顯，每一首歌特色迷人感全不一樣，Shyla人靚歌甜，腔調優美，唱藝精湛，韻味迷人，情感充沛，配合 「夢幻組合」出色伴奏，整體樂韻氣氛令人陶醉不已，鮮活的歌聲和樂聲質感強烈傳神，動人至極。隨意選聽 (Have I told you lately)、(Nothing's gonna change my love)、(Your song)、 《Fly me to the moon》、 《Suddenly》、《Summertime》以至 《At seventeen)等，感覺妙不可言，錄唱表現達到「靚絕人寰」級數。
