七绝两首 重阳节赠晚春兄

在传统英文诗歌中,押韵的规则是:相互押韵的两个词的重读音节的元音读音相同,重读音节之后的所有音都相同。比如:hollowing,following就是严格符合押韵规则的两个词。到了浪漫主义时期押韵规则略为放宽,有的时候甚至只要两个词的最后一个音节相同就算押韵,像power,flower,但是这种情况到了二是世界才真正普及起来。二十世纪有些诗人甚至更加自由,甚至最后一个音节的元音不同,只是辅音相同也算押韵了,比如last和lost,因此mind----hand押韵,这是consonance(谐辅韵)。元音相同,其后的辅音不同,如lake----fate这是assonance(谐元韵),因此moon---mood也押韵。这两种情况都被称为half rhyming。

hehehe, thanks for your reply, and totally agree with what you put here. That is also why I commend you for being both innovative and creative. :P

Having said that, I also searched for some information regarding the use of assonance.

Assonance is refrain of vowel sounds to create internal rhyming within phrases or sentences, and together with alliteration and consonance serves as one of the building blocks of verse. For example, in the phrase "Do you like blue?", the /u?/ ("o"/"ou"/"ue" sound) is repeated within the sentence and is assonant.

So, it looks to me, this device seems often employed for special emotive or musical effect.

Anyway, never mind, it is fun to touch base with you on rhyming. Let's work hard to have a perfect rhyme all the time. hahaha

汉诗“重阳之日”有不够精炼之嫌。
