China 263 BC (and another poem)
A sun of buffalo skin dances
over the drill ground
among sweaty soldiers in
the age of the Zhou dynasty
Use your feet not your hands
the commandant shouts
Don’t try to
grasp the light
And the soldiers storm
after the leather orb
between the rising
the falling
London 1863 AD
Who is master of space
Who can catch giddy globes
Ebenezer Cobb Morley and his men
will tame the tumbling ball
in late autumn evenings at
Freemasons’ Tavern
They measure meridians minutes
calculate arcs from pole to pole and
tracks in the universe
write down the laws
on slates

About the Author:
Odveig Klyve, a famous Norwegian poetess, writer and film directorwas, born in 1954. She has published seven poetry collections and eight children’s books. She has also translated work of an Iranian, a Palestinian and an English poet. She has written and directed several short films, which have been invited to international festivals in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, Romania, USA and India. Klyve has received a three-year National Grant for Artists. She has her education in literature, film and social studies from Universities in Norway. She now lives in Stavanger at the west coast of Norway.

作者简介：
Odveig Klyve, 出生于1954年，挪威当代著名女诗人，作家，和电影导演。她出版了7本诗集和8本儿童读物。她翻译过伊朗，巴勒斯坦和英国诗人的作品。自编自导了几部小短片，并受邀参加法国，德国，西班牙，北爱尔兰，英格兰，苏格兰，罗马尼亚，美国和印度等国举办的国际电影节。她获得了每三年一届的“国家艺术奖”。在挪威的大学接受了文学，电影，和社会研究等系统教育。目前，她定居于挪威西海岸的斯塔万格。

舞动在练兵场上
