空山新雨后，天气晚来秋。
明月松间照，清泉石上流。
竹喧归浣女，莲动下渔舟。
随意春芳歇，王孙自可留。
Dwell On a Hill in the Autumnal Eve

Hill’s fresh and void after rain
   In the later autumnal evening.
White moon shines ‘mid pines;
   Clear water runs on the stones.
Bamboos echoes washer-maids;
   Fish-boats stir the lotus leaves.
Let spring grass free of growing.
   I rather loiter in the fall evening.

After the rain freshens the empty hills,
The autumnal dusk deepens the chills.
Through pines the bright moon glows,
Upon the stones the clear spring flows.
Amid bamboos giggle the washer-maids,
Lotus leaves stir as the fish-boat wades.
Even spring fragrance has faded away,
Here is still a nice place for me to stay.
