秋夜喜遇王处士

北场芸藿罢，
东皋刈黍归，
相逢秋月满，
更值夜萤飞。   
【作者简介】
　　王绩（585 - 644），字无功，号东皋子，绛州龙门（今山西河津）人。唐初诗人。王绩是隋末大儒王通的弟弟。除一度作过六合县丞、太乐丞等卑职外，一生大部分时间隐居乡里。生平不拘礼教，豪放纵酒，自比嵇康、阮籍、刘伶和陶渊明。作品多以山水田园为题材，有避世的思想和抑郁的感慨，与唐初流行的浮靡诗风显然有别。
【诗篇大意】　
在屋北的菜园锄豆完毕，又从东边田野收割黄米归来。在今晚月圆的秋夜，恰与老友王处士相遇，更有穿梭飞舞的萤火虫从旁助兴。
【解题】
诗篇写得质朴平淡，却蕴含着浓浓诗情。这首描写田园生活情趣的小诗，在质朴平淡中蕴含着丰富隽永的诗情，颇能代表他的艺术风格。这首小诗，虽写田园隐居生活，却表现了乡居秋夜特有的美以及对这种美的心领神会，色调明朗，富于生活气息。他的诗有真率自然、不假雕饰之长，但有时却过于率直质朴而乏余蕴。这首诗则既保持朴素自然的优点，又融情入景，似不经意地点染出富于含蕴的意境。
【注释】
①芸藿：芸通“耘”，芸藿，即锄豆。
②刈黍：收割黍子，黍子即黄米。

After hoeing the bean field behind the house,
I went to the east of it to harvest millet crops.
Meeting with Wang in full moon on the fall night,
Adding to the fun are the merrily dancing fireflies.

a bit mouthful. What do you think?
I like how Ziyu's rendition included "north" and "east", which I feel is more fitting.

Ok, I give it a try for fun too.

I’ve finished hoeing in my north bean-lot,
Now back from east field with millets I got.
O, fall moon's round; I fancy meeting you,
What’s more, fireflies around us, what a view!

Our meet is right in full autumn moon’s view,
这句我也改一下：
Our meeting's right in full autumn moon's view
我总想把“恰逢”“正值”这层意思翻出来，因为这是这首诗中强调的，前两句就是表明恰恰刚回来，后面三四句说“就碰上了老友”，所以这个“相逢”的“巧（遇）”和喜悦才能更鲜明。是不是呢？自娱自乐君的“fancy meeting” 有这层意思，这里有“恰巧相逢”了，只不过我想说，我们相逢的时候恰巧是满月，又恰巧有夜莺飞。就是说不直接说相逢的偶然性，而用其他的偶然性来托举，这是此诗的妙处，对不？

Dear wanfeng, the moon is round = the moon is full = 月圆， am I right?
O fall moon is round, I fancy meeting you (here) = 秋月圆了，我没想到在这儿碰上了你 （我们不期而遇）
