Tune: Double Rings Unchained
The Persistence of Memory
By William He
Air polishes its prism on the sea. Ridge seems no more a soulless thing, An austere Being crouched there. In the quest for yesterday, Photo-activated luminescence, Distorting the four-dimensional space, Measuring the quantum wave. Pigments flirt with the ages, Luminosity stretching, Past-tense fantasies as well. With the floating bits and fragments, Pasting again frame by frame, The unduplicated episodes even.
A vast panorama from the unconscious ever. Relapsing memories holding no boundary, Clinging embryos and dripping clocks. Simply standing still, Watch stops to a capture attribute, Undergoing an amazing metamorphosis, lying on bizarre fish in the sand. But the olive tree says to them, No room for lasius niger, Chronographs flux into the land. With self-contained Siren, Time is melting like a candle, Trickling down to cupped hands.

Notes: "The Persistence of Memory": The Persistence of Memory (1931) is one of the most iconic and recognizable paintings of Surrealism. Frequently referenced in popular culture, the small canvas (24x33 cm) is sometimes known as "Melting Clocks","The Soft Watches" and "The Melting Watches". "Being": Jean-Paul Sartre's "Being and Nothingness" is the fundamental text of Existentialism. His examination of ontology constantly reviews previous existential philosophy by building on, and refuting, the work of prior philosophers. Sartre begins with a framework on nothingness and negations. "Quantum wave":A wave function, in quantum mechanics, is an equation. It describes the behavior of quantum particles, usually electrons. Here "function" is used in the sense of an algebraic function, that is, a certain type of equation. "Dripping clocks":The Persistence of Memory is Salvador Dali's iconic ode to time. The dripping clocks in The Persistence of Memory reflect the inner workings of Dali's subconscious and convey a simple (albeit complexly delivered) message: time as we know it is meaningless. "Lasius niger": Black garden ant. The ants crawling over the pocket watch suggest decoy, an absurd notion given that the watch is metallic. These 'paranoid-critical' images reflect Dali's reading and absorption of Freud's theories of the unconscious and its access to the latent desires and paranoia of the human mind. "Siren": In Greek mythology, a creature half bird and half woman who lured sailors to destruction by the sweetness of her song. According to Homer, there were two Sirens on an island in the western sea between Aeaea and the rocks of Scylla.
