Lanterns of the Winter Olympics

Blossoms exude an aura of coolness,
Unhurried thaw on the green blades,
A gleam of crimson is tinging the ice cloud.
Curving down a crystal mountain there.
A sight that snow is freshly fallen,
The fakie trick and backward somersault in the air.
Supergiant slalom between heart beats.
Trysil-Knud descending on skis,
Just as spindrift before the leeward wind fly.
Each jump in the snow its own rhythm,
Snowflakes encircle mascot's head like wreaths,
Endless is the narrating of the wonders of the beauty.

An iridescent sheen across the downhill skiing field.
The white butterflies are flapping their wings,
Deep pow-pow dances in athlete's heads.
And their feet find measure with ice call.
To those dreamy slopes,
She strives for everyday markers of strength.
Any number makes her a winner.
To catch the parting sigh of day，
Her feathered heavy wings bending low.
And she could be another,
How she feebly run her life's great race,
The vault of heaven her fretted dome shall be.

梅梢点白，
柳眼还青，
波列出云涧。
雪雕荧灿。
低屏幕、
倒滑空翻通贯。
凌风轮转。
五环外、
六花客串。
调色温、
连线冰墩，
明灭沽河岸。

红莲照夜相唤。
乍浮光玉絮，
云顶绡练。
飞鹰轻健。
争驰逐、
跳跃穿云沐冠。
花灯吐绚。
也耽恋、
旧家赏燕。
归去来、
犹自迟疑，
似眼波回盼。


Notes：
“Lanterns”: The Lantern Festival, a traditional Chinese festival, is celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month. It is a continuation of celebrating the Spring Festival. The day leads to the first full moon night of the year, and is also the night when the earth returns to spring.
“Fakie”: In boardsports, fakie is riding backwards. When used in conjunction with a trick name, like "fakie ollie", it means that the trick was performed as it would normally be done only with the exception of riding backwards. Not to be confused with "switch" or switchstance which is literally "switching" ones stance.
“Supergiant slalom”: The supergiant slalom, or super-G, race is primarily a speed event, with many of the features of downhill skiing. The course is steeper and straighter than the other slalom events and features longer, more-sweeping turns taken at a higher speed.
“Trysil-Knud”: Trysil-Knut is a Norwegian film from 1942. Directed by veteran Rasmus Breistein and is a ski themed melodrama about the legendary skier Trysil-Knut from Trysil. He is a powerful patriot, who in the early 1800s prevent that a war breaks out between Norway and Sweden using his skiing skills.
“Mascot”: Bing Dwen Dwen. The new Olympic mascot will serve as an ambassador for winter sports, bringing joy to those who participate in and watch the Olympic Winter Games. “Bing” means ice and also symbolises purity and strength, and “Dwen Dwen” represents children. The mascot embodies the strength and willpower of athletes and will help to promote the Olympic spirit.
