玉阶怨
玉阶生白露,
夜久侵罗袜。
却下水晶帘,
玲珑望秋月。
[散体英译]
Grievances of Jewel Stairs
White dew grows heavy on jewel stairs, which soaks her silk stockings deep into the night. Crystal curtain is let down to shut out the light, before she casts a lingering glance at the autumn moon.

Missing in the Dead of Night
I wake from a dream to find moonlight pouring through the window, into my room, onto the ground, suggestive of frost. Upward looking at the bright moon reduces me to homesickness soon.
