A Feast of Lanterns
By William He
Starbursts of scarlet and bright neon purple,
The prismatic laser lanterns shoot and soar.
Rabbits receive the beams of magic white,
Elves in the boat upon their midnight-way.
Ruffled tide is stretching over the full moon,
Bald Eagle swipes a balloon with the paws.
Hestia wobbling on the theatrical stilt race,
The faint smiles conceal the restless heart.
