落日五湖游，烟波处处愁。
浮沈千古事，谁与问东流?

A Tour on Taihu Lake in Autumn

A sailing on the Taihu Lake as the sun's setting,

Mist and waves around me set off my sorrows.

Years gone by, ups and downs, many a thing,

For which who'd ask the Water eastward flows?

A trip to the Taihu Lake at twilight,

Mist 'n' waves make my woes grow,

In history lots of delight and plight,

Who‘s ever asked the eastward flow?

I tour the Taihu Lake at the sunfall,
O misty waves drown me in sorrow.
Many things in history rise and fall,
Who would ask the eastward flow?

(普敬天下人版本）

The setting sun sees the trips on the Taihu Lake,
The endless sorrow weaves into the misty water.
The eastwards flow witness all of earthshakers,
With the rise and down of the past tidal water.
