贴一段旧译

Caesar要称帝独裁，这破坏了罗马伟大的民主祖制。居心各异的人们走到了一起，策划谋杀凯撒，捍卫自由的权力。Brutus是谋反者领袖。当Cassius要叛变者盟誓时，Brutus发表了这样一段言论。我深以为然。草译之，以为勉励。
Brutus: Give me your hands all over, one by one.
Cassius: And let us swear our resolution.
Brutus: No, not an oath! if not the face of men, 不，不要立誓！要是我们的脸色还不够忧愁
             The surfferance of our souls, the time's abuse, -- 心灵不够苦痛，时势不够违拗，
             If these be motives weak, break off betimes, 要是我们的意志还不坚定，不如即刻放弃，
             And every man hence to his idle bed; 各自回家睡觉。
             So let high-sighted tyranny range on 让独裁飞腾游荡
             Till each man drop by lottery. But if these, 直到我们倒下。可是，
             As I am sure they do, bear fire enough 我确信，如果我们能秉火
             To kindle cowards, and to steel with valour以鼓动懦夫，灌输钢勇
             The melting spirits of women, then, countrymen, 以磨砺妇人，那么同胞们，
              What need we any spur but our own cause 我们的义举何需任何

              To think that or our cause or our performance 觉得我们的事业
              Did need an oath, when ever drop of blood 需要立誓，因为罗马人的每一滴血
              That every Roman bears, and nobly bears, 都是高贵的，
               Is guilty of a several bastardy 谁稍稍违背了
               If he do break the smallest particle 自己许下的诺言，
               Of any promise that hath pass'd from him. 就不是罗马的种！

我翻译这一段字不过十几分钟。之所以贴出来，是因为相与大家勉励。
这里我想用莎士比亚的一首十四行作为我的辩词。
Your love and pity doth the impression fill,
Which vulgar scandal stamp’d upon my brow;
For what care I who calls me well or ill,
So you o’er-green my bad, my good allow?
You are my all-the-world, and I must strive
To know my shames and praises from your tongue;
None else to me, nor I to none alive,
That my steel’d sense or changes right or wrong.
In so profound abysm I throw all care
Of others’ voices, that my adder’s sense
To critic and to flatterer stopped are.

好啦,不用煞费苦心地为自己辩解了, 你内心所想的一切的一切大家都看得很清楚也很理解, 呵呵呵
hehehe, when you are highly critical of someone's work, you have never thought about that person's feeling. Now it is your turn, you come up with this sonnet, hehehe:P
