The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.	暮色降临山朦胧， 积雪难掩青松倩。 承诺在胸说不尽， 再行数里雪夜间。	山林妩媚深寂夜幕降临， 我心中的承诺尚未兑现。 再前行几里再前行几里， 到了宿地再让梦想翩翩。

这首诗有人研究过，树林是个象征，结尾更强调“睡觉之前（死亡）我还有很长的路要走”。
