I, too, sing America

I, too, sing America.
I am the darker brother.
They send me to eat in the kitchen
When company comes,
But I laugh,
And eat well,
And grow strong.
Tomorrow,
I'll be at the table
When company comes.
Nobody'll dare
Say to me,
"Eat in the kitchen,"
Then.
Besides,
They'll see how beautiful I am
And be ashamed--
I, too, am America.

浏览美国诗人学会网站 无意看到这首英文诗  搜了下 没看到网上有中文译文。诗歌读起来表面上很白，但越看越法人思考。

TOO  是副词，有也 的意思。
但我的理解是 这里是一种强调用法。因此 就用一个 啊 来翻译

休斯是黑人诗人，当过货船厨师。他用诗来反对种族歧视。
此诗中：“ I , too , sing America" 强调了这种要求平等民主的思想，故应直译“我，也要歌唱美国”“我，也是美国”

休斯的背景资料我还不知道，谢谢先生的解答，按照这个资料来看，TOO 虽然我理解为一种强调 但是翻译为  啊  确实不妥

注意一下原文的标点符号，译文中的第二和第三行似应调换位置，同理，译文第二段的第四行也应调到第二行。个人理解。

我想这里意思很明白，以前来客人了，就让黑人去厨房吃。从明天开始，黑人可以上桌跟客人一块吃。就是说平等了，不做下等人了，因为黑人现对自己有了认同感——自己也是美国人。当然别人对自己的认同，还是尚需时日的。
