The Two Lines of Poplars on the Ridge
The ridge near the town in Western Sichuan Plain
The north poplars grow along both sides of the road
Each of the poplars is bitten by the moths
Each of the poplars growing very reluctantly

The poplars trunks bulging all of them are scales injury
A group of old persons follow the poplars to walk every day
They climb to the ridge slow to see the sun setting to the land
One of them passing away while their walking on the ridge
Just like a gnawing poplar stumbled by the ridge road
My middle age following their old age to climb to the ridge
The poplars are rushing sound and my heart is palpitant
I count one and another poplars and passed the walking old
I count all the poplars but can't climb over the ridge of fate
I see these poplars dancing in fire after my death
I hear my spirit singing for the sick and pained hometown
