理查德·亨利·斯托达德 Richard Henry Stoddard (1825-1903) 美国诗人   青春是短暂的梦。青年人为梦想全力以赴，勤奋拼搏；有付出就有回报，即使有伤有痛也能抚平。如果碌碌无为，就会“青春一去永不复返，枉自叹息空留惆怅”。

                        
付出必定得到补偿，
良药总能医治创伤：
青春飞逝永不复返，
好梦难寻内心空荡。
步入成年更加坚强，
若有所失难追以往；
美妙年华无踪无影，
转瞬即逝一片渺茫。
少年魅力意气昂扬，
随处可见人间天上；
青春一去永不复返，
枉自叹息空留惆怅。

There are gains for all our losses.
There are balms for all our pain:
But when youth, the dream, departs
It takes something from our hearts,
And it never comes again.
We are stronger, and are better,
Under manhood's sterner reign:
Still we feel that something sweet
Followed youth, with flying feet,
And will never come again.
Something beautiful is vanished,
And we sigh for it in vain;
We behold it everywhere,
On the earth, and in the air,
But it never comes again!
