         辞旧迎新，中国人用爆竹，西方人用钟声。语言不同，心声一样。
                                                      新年

寒光闪闪，乱云翻飞；
粗犷的钟声响彻广袤的天陲：
一年消逝就在今宵，
敲响粗犷的钟声埋葬旧岁。
钟声响起，送旧迎新，
伴着雪花播撒幸福祥瑞：
让旧年成为过去，
钟声带来真诚赶走虚伪。
永别的亲友我们难以释怀，
敲响钟声驱散心中的伤悲；
钟声让贫富消除旧怨，
钟声把福佑遍布人类。
The New Year
Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
The flying cloud, the frosty light:
The year is dying in the night;
Ring out, wild bells, and let him die.
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
Ring out the grief that saps the mind,
For those that here we see no more;
Ring out the feud of rich and poor,
Ring in redress to all mankind.
