              爸爸远航未归，妈妈怀抱宝贝轻轻唱起甜甜的催眠曲。摇篮曲世代传唱，婴儿平安成长。
   
轻轻甜甜，甜甜轻轻，
西边的海风；
轻轻呼气，轻轻吹拂，
西边的海风！
来自沉落的月亮，
越过波浪的翻腾，
把他带回我的身边，
我的小宝贝进入睡梦。
爸爸就要回来，
睡吧，睡吧，宝贝平平静静，
爸爸就要回来，
睡吧，睡吧，在妈妈怀里边安安宁宁；
爸爸就要回家来看宝贝，
   扬起银帆从西边起程，
银色的月光拌他的身影；
睡吧，睡吧，我的小宝贝已入梦境。

              唧唧喳喳、咿咿呀呀，都别着急。小鸟要长硬小小翅膀，婴儿要长硬小小腿脚才能远走高飞。

 巢中小鸟唧唧喳喳在说什么，
 正当黎明初露曙光？
 让我飞，小鸟说，
 妈妈，让我飞向远方；
 宝贝，还得再歇几天，
 等你长硬那对小小翅膀。
 于是她又歇了几天，
 然后飞向远方。
 床上婴儿咿咿呀呀在说什么，
 正当黎明初露曙光？
 就像小鸟，婴儿说，
 让我起来飞向远方；
 宝贝，还得再睡几天，
 等你长硬小小腿脚胳膀。
 如果婴儿再睡几天，
 她也会飞向远方。

What Does Little Birdie Say?

What does little birdie say,
In her nest at peep of day?
Let me fly, says little birdie,
Mother, let me fly away,
Birdie, rest a little longer,
Till the little wings are stronger.
So she rests a little longer,
Then she flies away.
What does little baby say,
In her bed at peep of day?
Baby says, like little birdie,
Let me rise and fly away.
Baby, sleep a little longer,
Till the little limbs are stronger.
If she sleeps a little longer,
Baby too shall fly away.
