       　　优雅的金合欢被人们视为神物,正如心中的恋人展现她婀娜多姿的身影。诗的前半部见树思人,后半部又将人比树,最后两行画龙点睛、传神达意:诗人希望自己不再流浪,祈望那最终的归宿是得到她爱的树荫遮护。
　　
　　 优雅的金合欢，
　　 苗条娇弱，亭亭玉立；
　　 你让我想起一位女子，
　　 她的身影多么熟悉；
　　 虽不如你身材高大，
         却让我同样心仪...
　　 是哪位神祗把她称作自己的神树？
　　 尽管她从不违背天意！
　　 呵，愿上苍让我这流浪者不再流浪，
　　 愿天神借她的树荫将我遮蔽！

　　 I think I know the like of thee；

　　 Some God must be the last to change her;
