Frontier Journal is pound to announce that, Frontier Visionary Interview will interview Prof. Robert Hass, 2008 Pulitzer Prize Winner and Poet Laureate of the United States from 1995 to 1997. The following poem was written for me to have a clue on raising a range of questions to him, just as a clue.
Frontier Visionary Interview has interviewed celebrities like Apple Co-founder Steve Woz, best seller auther Alvine Toffler, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, two Turing Award Winners, six Nobel Prize Laureates, just to name a few. What this upcoming interview makes me exciting is that, as a poet, instead of a high-tech practicer, I am interviewing one of the best poets in English world, and you know, I am not a native speaker of English, yet I compose poems in English.

哈斯“马甲”众多。除去1995年—1997年两任全美桂冠诗人的身份外，他是包括全美图书奖在内的诸多奖项的得主，不久前，凭借诗集《时间与物质》（Time and Materials）哈斯获得了本年度普列策诗歌奖；他是加利福尼亚大学伯克利分校的英语文学教授，同时也是1980年诺贝尔文学奖获得者波兰诗人米沃什的重要英文译者。与此同时，他还是一个非政府组织的国际河流董事会的成员，除了保护河流和争取维护河流附近居民的权利以外，他还发起了一个通过艺术、诗歌教育对孩子进行环保启蒙的项目，叫做“词语的河流”。此外，他也是《华盛顿邮报》的专栏作者，定期在上面发表诗歌和评论。1999年，哈斯还曾客串一部戏剧电影《野花》，饰演其中一位得某种不知名慢性疾病即将慢慢死去的诗人。但，罗伯特·哈斯最重要的身份还是诗人，是此次“帕米尔诗歌之旅”中一员熠熠生辉的诗坛老将。他的妻子，布伦达·希尔曼，诗人，同时也是一位活跃的反战主义人士。
