译后记：
这首歌写于1962年越南战争期间，美国政府不顾国内反战意愿向越南增兵，鲍勃•迪伦用不卑不亢的语言代表无数向往和平的美国人发声，希望当权者能以和平理性的态度解决争端，不再对无辜士兵丧生战场视而不见、听而不闻，他也因这篇歌词而荣获2016年诺贝尔文学奖。The answer is blowing in the wind作为该篇歌词的主题句反复出现，blowing一词的翻译尤其值得讨论。愚以为，歌词中提到的这个“答案”始终是飘忽不定且至今无解的，若译成“飘扬”、“飘荡”都无法充分表达这层涵义。“在风中凌乱”似乎较为准确地表达“答案”至今未能成形的意思。至于歌曲译名，主要从汉语歌曲名追求简洁隽永的角度来考虑，《答案》显然比直译能留给听众更大的想象空间。
