无心剑

    墙角数枝梅，
    凌寒独自开。
    遥知不是雪，
    为有暗香来。
   
    At the wall corner plum branches grow,
    Against icy coldness they bloom alone.
    At a distance I know they are not snow,
    For the faint scent wafts into my bone.

     A few plum blossoms stand at the corner of wall,
    Although it's fiercely cold, only they refuse to fall,
    From distance I can tell they aren't snow,
    For I can sense their scent come and go.

    There's faint scent waft by waft greeting my nose.

    【普敬译本】

    Some plum flowers dwelling in the corner,
    Blossom alone against the chill weather,
    I would guess a pile of snow far away,
    Oh, there is a soft scent coming this way.

汉语是世界上最麻烦的语言之一。这个“遥知”在这里理解为“本来就晓得”，如何？。I've known(现在完成时)。从花园墙角到客厅/书房，应该不远，谈不上afar.愚见。

谢谢提醒。不过 at a distance 和 from a distance 是可以通用的。为了谢谢大家的帮助与支持，在原版的基础上，俺再来一版本玩玩，呵呵呵
