自娛君﹕我改了一下﹐你看看如何﹖

關於“酒力”﹐表示能喝酒的能力﹐即能喝多少酒。英文裡最確切的詞是CAPACITY。
如果譯成CAPACITY  OF  WINE  DRINKING﹐太長了。譯詩也要簡潔嘛。

Well, 两害相权取其轻, I think 'a little' seems better than 'slight'.

awake can be a verb as well as an adjective,

slight can be verb, noun and adjective, so how can it qualify another verb or adjective?

awake is adj. here.  it  can  be  a verb.

slight is also adj.  but i use it here to qualify  awake,  because  a  little  awake  is not good.  slight  awake  is  better.

Yishi, I do have a dictionary, actually not just one but a lot, hehehe

Ok, my question to you is 'can 'slight' be used as an 'adverb' or 'can awake be used as a 'noun'?

Furthermore, you have said your 'awake' here is an 'adjective', so my slight grammer knowledge tells me an adjective can be modified by an adverb not an 'adjective'.

The boy is wide awake ---here awake is an adjective, right or not?

wide can be an adjective as well as an adverb, right or not?

The boy is slightly awake ----here again awake is an adjective, right or not? And it is qualified by an adverb 'slightly', which is changed from adjective form by adding 'ly', right or not?
