牛皮，猪皮，不都叫皮吗？:D

“一般骨肉一般皮。”
就是要译出“一般”-- same，方能显示“all lives are equal".  :)
that being said, i still think the two versions listed by iron-ice are great!  :-D
若钻牛角尖的话，
in same way they grow----   are you sure?  
birds don't grow the same way like other creatures, such as deer or foxes, which don't even have wings.
sorry if i leave you with the impression of being too argumentative.  :)
it's always fun to argue, for argument's sake or not.  :D

1，“一般骨肉一般皮”并不是“它们长着一样的骨肉，长着一样的皮”之意，而是“它们（跟人类）一样长着骨肉，一样长着皮”。
2，我的in same way they grow，是放在Having bones and skins之后的，就是说在“长着骨肉长着皮”这一点上，in same way they grow，而不是泛泛的说它们一样。因此鹿、狐狸没有翅膀的事实并不影响我的译文的精确性。
