well, i added "away" to make the last line a bit longer. :-)

before doing that, i did google the internet and found a couple of example.   not many though.  :-)

Well, yours pretty much differs from your given sample sentence

Disperse already means move apart and go away in different directions, or scatter, so the sample sentence tells us, saying, squirrels scatter or move apart or go away in different directions when they are away from food resources, in my humble opinion.

I reckon if we remove that 'away', the whole sentence will still make sense, whereas the given sentence probably won't.
