The Tale of A Frog on the Bottom of A Well
The frog used to be modest and sad,
A head and a tail were all he had.
Then he evolved fully and became smart,
Jumping about, he began to swell and brag.
One day he slipped into a deep dry well,
Thence he has made it his home to dwell.
It’s his kingdom and he feels proud,
So he brags more and more aloud:
“ The heaven is no bigger than the mouth of my Well, I see,
So I must be, and certainly AM, the King of the Universe!
’Cause I am the biggest herein, and all others are inferior to me,
Both in size, in height, in depth, and in singing, in jumping, in verse!”
Until one day a flood came and filled his home,
And made him rise and out of the well float.
Now in panic he sees a grand huge heavenly dome,
And an ocean where his kingdom is only a tiny boat.
