The Holy See

Crossed keys are under the Triregnum,

Doric orders illustrate wondrous mysteries,

Scintillating angle wings quivered in anticipation.

The divine atmosphere is thick and heavy,

Hovering the obelisk for which I have sought.

His love cheers and fills your heart with song,

The prominent cross,

With an image of Father Christ.

The Holy Lamb of God,

Washes you in his precious blood,

In the chimes and chorus chants.

Horoscopes defy what Smart Alec appears pretentious,

Hardened hearts are demonically hyperactive,

Treacherous men come with nervous nicotine.

The Secret in Their Eyes is,

Camouflaged creed a silent smoke screen.

Beyond the dark sky and death valley,

The Lives need the spirits,

To bless in the face of impasse.

Oh, The Shape of Water，

Michelangelo once again,

Wraps these in his vision.

多谢您的大作。这又是一首扣人心弦的诗词，从您的词中我闻到了教堂熏香的芬芳馥郁，脑海中浮现出教皇的三层冠冕。我去过梵蒂冈多次，米开朗基罗绘制的西斯廷教堂穹顶壁画美不胜收，只有莱昂纳多·达芬奇的画作《最后的晚餐》可以与之媲美，我童年时代就在意大利米兰观赏过。
一个细节是，我认为璧画中第三行的天使才是真正的天使--它的翅膀给人留下不可磨灭的印象。充满了基督教和天主教象征的神秘色彩。

Many thanks. Very atmospheric as usual, I can smell the incense and see the papal tiara in my mind's eye. I have been there a number of times, and love the Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo. It is perhaps only matched by Leonardo's Last Supper in Milan- which I saw as a child.
Minor point, I think Angle in line three should be Angel- very evocative with the angel's wings. Full of the mysteries of Christianity and Catholic symbolism.

谢马丁老师垂赏。作为诗歌灵魂的意境和意象是中国古诗词的最大魅力所在。古诗词英译中再现意境和意象美难度极高。核心的问题是，这些译文是否与原作拥有同样的情感冲击，给外国人的形象、感觉、记忆（个人的和文化的）的冲击。是否能从这首诗英译本的字面意义上，给他们带来同样的情感冲击。为便于外国人理解拙词中寓情于景以及情景交融的意象，使用了西方著名歌曲和影片的题材，提到了意大利文艺复兴时期成就卓著的艺术家，尝试演绎中华文化的审美......
