

                                 悼亡诗

 与他相知相爱,
 结束了我漫长的孤独时光；
 我们在随后的日子里分手,
 谁也不必把过错担当；
 现在他已离开人世,
 我略微舒缓, 歌也少些忧伤!

 寒冬降临他安息的山岗,
 飞雪为群山披上银装；
 荒野里只有雪鹀飞来飞去,
 唯有冷杉披起黑纱为你吊丧：
 那树下带冰的滕蔓闪闪发亮,
 沉寂中把含羞的葡萄深深隐藏。

赫尔曼•梅尔维尔(Herman Melville 1819—1891)美国诗人 尽管与丈夫中途分手,但对他往日的好处还是终生难以忘怀,即使在他去世之后,也还要在内心深处为他默默哀悼。

 Monody

To have known him, to have loved him
After loneness long；
And then to be estranged in life,
And neither in the wrong;
And now for death to set his seal---
Ease me, a little ease, my song!

By wintry hills his hermit-mound
The sheeted snow-drifts drape,
And houseless there the snow-birds flits
Beneath the fir-trees’ crape：
Glazed now with ice the cloistral vine
That hid the shyest grape．
