      埃德娜•圣文森特•米莱(Edna St．Vincent Millay 1892—1950) 美国女诗人  年轻时过着放浪的生活,不知道珍惜情感,到头来得不到真爱。冷雨敲窗,夜游的鬼魂跳荡,枯树独立寒冬,好不凄惨! 哀怨不止,悔恨无尽,这爱情的绝唱动人心魄、发人深醒。汉语能否把这异域哀怨的爱情绝唱再次唱响？

     我的嘴唇吻过谁的嘴唇，
 为甚么，在何方？
 我的长发枕过谁的手臂，
 从傍晚直到天亮？
 一切都难以追忆，
 一切都不堪回想；
 只听到夜游的鬼魂叹息
 只听到追问的细雨敲窗。
 心底翻动着隐痛，
 爱的往事一片迷茫；
 淡忘了夜半寻我的少年，
 不再有把我呼唤的情郎。
 就像那孤寂的枯树，
 独立寒冬暗自神伤；
 恋枝的鸟儿一去不返，
 枝头更加落寞空荡。
 说不清有多少情来，
 道不明有多少情往；
 只知道春光短暂，
 我的爱情颂歌从此绝响。 



 What lips my lips have kissed, and where, and why,
I have forgotten, and what arms have lain
 Under my head till morning; but the rain
Is full of ghosts tonight, that tap sigh
 Upon the glass and listen for reply；
And in my heart there stirs a quiet pain
 For unremembered lads that not again
Will turn to me at midnight with a cry．
 Thus in the winter stands the lonely tree,
Nor knows what birds have vanished one by one,
 Yet knows its boughs more silent than before：
I cannot say what loves have come and gone；
 I only know that summer sang in me
A little while, that in me sings no more．
