Besides The Brook
I am lying bare footed on a rock beside the clear brook
The cool shade of bamboo lulls me into a nice nap at noon
Zephyr comes all the way and carries the cicada buzz away
A fresh flow runs to stay in my heart through my dream by day
一溪边
石头裸足卧溪边，竹影招凉送午眠。
悄至风携蝉唱去，清流破梦入心田

Bamboo
Straight like brushes towering to touch the stars
They never stop growing in the cloudy mount high
They still feel dwarf even one hundred foot spars
For they stand firm to match color against the sky

二咏竹
千株似笔欲撩星，直出云山长不停。
百尺犹嫌身太矮，要伸竹绿比天青。
