何处望神州？满眼风光北固楼。千古兴亡多少事？悠悠！不尽长江滚滚流。
年少万兜鍪，坐断东南战未休。天下英雄谁敌手？曹刘！生子当如孙仲谋。

Where can I behold Cathay?
All in my eyes is the view seen from Beigu Tower.
How many events of dynastic rise and fall happened since ancient time?
So, so,
Like the Yangtze River flowing endlessly in torrents.
Commanding myriads of soldiers when still young,
He reigned in the southeast, engaged in continual war.
Who’s his rival among all the heroes under Heaven?
Cao, Liu.
The son, if any born, should be like Sun Zhongmou*!

Where could I behold the central plains of my motherland?
All I can see from Beigu Tower is the views that expand.
How many changes in dynasties since olden days, who knows?
For on and on, it goes,
Like the Yangtze River that endlessly flows.
Albeit a teenage, already millions of men under his command,
Warfare never stops, yet he still firmly holds his southeast land.
In the entire world who’s his rival amongst all the heroes?
Only Cao and Liu*, his foes!
If any one has a son, let him take after Sun Zhongmou* as up he grows.

Unhurriedly, the boundless flow of Yangtze river is still surgent
