every other 为固定用法

every other 和every second 都表示“每隔一”的意思

如：every other year
      every second day

海老提出 “一般上讲是用every day 或every other day”
其意思是：
与时间短语连用，every表示“每隔。。的”之意，


额外注意区别 EVERY 和ALL

两个词，一般来说是同样的词义
但是，当和时间短语连用的时候， 词义有区别。
比如 every morning 和 ALL MORNING  

前者指 每个上午  后者指 整个上午

似乎这样可以克服歧义：

would you like to drink with my old neighbor

If like to drink with my old neighbor

哎！此类问题，其实讨论过多次，本不想多言，这个讨论我恐没有结果！

“隔篱呼取尽余杯”I'll call him over the fence for the remaining wine?

我的看法是：这句显然对原诗有理解上的偏差，翻译出来是：“我叫他过篱来喝剩余的酒”。虽然他是农二哥，杜甫这个人也不至于小看他吧？
前句有“相对饮”，实际是：叫他隔篱举杯，共同饮了各自剩余的酒，干杯！
