他驻步，倾听尖塔——
是什么轻洒在城镇清晨的房屋
咚，咚，咚，咚，蔓延市集
又向人们砸去

他，箍紧腰带，走向他的钟点，
又站在那数着，诅咒自己的命运；
然而，时钟却在高塔上
攒紧力量，猛然一击

他伫足，静听塔楼清晨的钟响
Sprinkle the quarters on the morning town.
在城镇各个角落迴转
One, two, three, four, to market-place and people
一下，两下，三下，四下，传入人群和市场
It tossed them down.
让他们忐忑不安

Strapped, noosed, nighing his hour,
仿佛受到了鞭打和捆绑，他哀叫着痛
He stood and counted them and cursed his luck;
依然伫立，数着钟声，诅咒自己不幸的运道
And then the clock collected in the tower
此时，塔楼上的钟
Its strength, and struck.

“一和”是什么意思？“一团和气”的意思吧。
作为“新手上路”，就好比新媳妇刚过门，要接收“婆婆”的管教，即使这个婆婆又丑又臭又歪。作为新媳妇，必须时刻牢记自己的“使命”是跟男人睡觉，不是跟那个臭婆婆睡觉。只要婆婆不上床干涉，让她闹一闹有利于“一团和气”。
