99、忧伤


You left me without even a word;
No more can your voice be heard!
You cruelly take my heart away;
So soon my hair has turned gray.
Cup after cup I drink bitter wine;
Tearfully, more and more I pine.
Grief gnaws my soul every night,
Without you nothing can be right.

你离我而去沉默不语，
再也听不到你吐心曲。
你无情将我心儿带走，
转眼间我已愁白了头。
喝着苦酒一杯接一杯，
泪眼朦胧神情已憔悴。
夜夜忧伤如蛇啮灵魂，
没有你仿佛颠倒乾坤。

让我转眼间白发满头。
我一杯一杯喝着苦酒，

100、我为何要说？


Why shall I say? What shall I say?
How can I express my ideal in concise words?

我为何要说？我要说什么？
我怎能用简洁言辞表达我的理想？

Not all human speeches have no new meanings,
But needless for me to seek mystery within them,
For profundities have been forgotten by people.

并非一切人类言语都了无新意，
但对我而言，没必要从中寻找神秘，
因为人们已经忘记那些深奥哲理。

To whom could I tell my burning heart?
Even it's filled with the sincere wishes,
Nobody can fully understand my agony.

燃烧的心灵能向谁倾诉？
纵然是一腔诚挚的希望，
却没人完全理解我的痛苦。

Three weeks passed like one day,
We completed the Summer English Program,
The joy of harvest is rippling in our hearts.

三个周过得就好像一天，
我们完成暑期英语学习课程，
收获的喜悦在心底荡漾。

O James, Carol, Lee, Shirley!
Across oceans, rivers and mountains,
You came to our college with earnest love,
Sharing your wisdom and experience with us.

哦，詹姆斯、卡罗拉、李、雪莉！
你们横渡大洋，跨越千山万水，
到我们学校，怀着热切的爱，
让我们分享你们的智慧与经验。

Your particular teaching styles,
Your different personal charms,
Your strong spirits of devotion,
Left a deep impression on our minds.

We listened, spoke and discussed problems in classes,
We sang, danced and played games at parties,
We asked, replied and made jokes at the English Corner.

So many joyful footprints are left on the sands of time,
So many beautiful memories are collected in our hearts.
Now, the Pacific Ocean will separate you from us.

时光的沙滩上留下那么欢快的足迹，

Come! My friends far away,
Come to my beautiful village!
Here are grand mountains,
Here are exuberant forests,
Here are clear, sweet brooks,
Here are cheerful, free birds.

来吧！我远方的朋友，
到我美丽的村庄来！
这儿有巍峨的群山，
这儿有茂密的森林，
这儿有清冽甘甜的小溪，
这儿有欢快自由的鸟儿。

In those peaceful valleys,
You will see idyllic shepherds.
They are playing short flutes,
Some tame sheep are eating grass,
Others are walking around leisurely.
Behold！What a harmonious picture!

在那些宁静的山谷里，
你会看到悠闲的牧羊人。
他们吹奏着短笛，
一些温顺绵羊吃着草，
另一些悠闲地四处走动。
看！多么和谐的画面！

O friends! All over the mountains,
Wild roses smile against breeze,
Just as beautiful as bashful girls!
Butterflies flutter around them,
The fragrance wafts everywhere,
Everything seems so intoxicated!

朋友啊，满山
野玫瑰迎风微笑，
美得像害羞的姑娘！
蝴蝶围着花儿飞舞，
芳香四处飘送，
一切都那么沉醉！

Wild roses, pretty flowers of my hometown!
Welcome guests from afar with their fragrance,
And give them a kind of everlasting happiness.
My friends! Come and love my small village.
It is a place of love, freedom and peace.

野玫瑰，故乡可爱的花，
用它们的芬芳迎接远方客人，
给客人一种永远的幸福。
朋友们啊，来爱我的小村庄，
一个充满爱、自由与和平的地方！
