106、灵山

Soul Mountain

尘网若许年，
迷途不知返。
今朝闻佛法，
一心向灵山。

In this world I've idled many years away,
Not knowing how to return as I go astray.
So lucky to hear Buddha-dharma today,
I’ll long for the Soul Mountain all the way.

107、寂寞

Loneliness

夜深孤灯畔，
译诗费踌躇。
东西路漫长，
寂寞无处诉。

Late at night I sit by the lone lamplight,
Poetry is hard for me to translate right.
Long is the way between east and west,
Nobody can melt loneliness in my chest.

108、酒仙

Great Drinker

无心效圣贤，
但求酒中仙。
杯杯饮开怀，
醉里吟诗篇。

I am in no mood to learn from saints,
But to be a drinker without constraints.
Drinking cup by cup makes me happy,
When drunk, I enjoy chanting poetry.

109、舟曲

Zhouqu County

苍天不长眼，
神州多灾难。
滚滚泥石流，
舟曲悲无言。

The Heaven seems to be blind,
China suffers many a calamity.
After the debris flow so unkind,
In silent grief is Zhouqu County.

Self-Encouragement

天资本驽钝，
莫谈顿悟门。
切记事渐修，
铁杵磨成针。

Without excellent endowment,
I won't say sudden enlightenment
But cultivate myself little by little
To wait patiently for the miracle.
