if I pass away
I decide to hang my heart
on the highest peak of my homeland

如果我死了
我决定将肢体
平放在故乡的麦地

if I pass away
I decide to put my body
on the wheat field of my homeland

我不相信
他们的嘴脸
就是故乡的嘴脸

I do not believe
their countenances
can represent my homeland

我不相信
母亲的河流
会淹死她的孩子……

I do not believe
the mother's river
will drown her child...

只有你流浪狗
躺在屋檐下雨
滴穿你的头骨
整个宇宙的寒冷
透过你的眼睛
照亮村庄
照亮夜归的人

many dogs fall asleep
but you - a vagrant dog
lies under the eaves
rain drips through your skull
the chill of the whole universe
lightens the village
and homecomers at night
through your eyes

a swarm of injured scorpions
has smothered the blue sky

我没有勇气
去接纳她们的毒汁

I have no courage
to accept their venom

更没有勇气
去填充她们的伤口

and even no courage
to soothe their wound

我只能将一种责任
投放在冷色的火焰里

but throw a responsibility
into the cold-colored flame

the night worm assaults me
forcing me to compose lyric and music

然后用歌声
把我也变成了黑夜

then uses the song
to turn me into night

在秋夜的牢房里
我看见了两种颜色

I have seen two colors
in the jail of autumn night

一种是黑色的
另一种也是黑色的

one is black
another is black too

you lie at the foot of the hill
just like my another body
shocking this world

一夜的疯狂
会感动早起的鸦雀——
整个森林都在议论你

one night of craziness
would touch the early bird
the whole forest discusses y

用他们的眼睛
点燃最后一只香烟
和最后一点点欲望

they use their eyes
to ignite the last cigarette
and the last bit of desire

去吧，举起利剑
将恩爱碎在谷底
从此没有生死的定义

o, go and raise your sharp sword
to smash the love at the valley bottom
thence there is no definition of life and death

the pretty night flows
I draw your appearance
with the gentle lines

舞台是现存的
剧本早已写好
搁在荒乱的山坡上

the stage is existing
the play is already finished
placed on the disorderly hillside

我不必过多的
描叙你的思想
更不必随你远征

I need not excessively
describe your thoughts
nor follow you on expedition

在我闭上眼之前
请你用歌声
埋葬这份卑微的自尊

before I close my eyes
please use sound of singing
to bury this humble self-pride

I Always Imagine

生命已成过往
我的世界一片蔚蓝

when the windbell rings
life has turned into memory
my world is filled with azure

我会在秋的尽头
毅然放下声色的刀剑
去赶往心灵的盛会

I will drop the sword of desire
resolutely at the end of autumn
to join the grand meeting of souls

我一直幻想
左手举月右手托日
将时空化为永恒的一刻

I always imagine
holding the moon on my left hand
and the sun on my right hand
to turn spacetime into an eternal moment

我一直幻想
像虚空一样
存在于每一个人的心里

I always imagine
staying in everyone's heart
like an empty space

我一直幻想
把我的身体粹成粉末
而我依然存在

I always imagine
my body is smashed
yet I still remain

under the eave, wind blows by
screaming, the dust flees the scene

风驶过的刹那
我掰开历史的裂痕

I break off the rift of the history
at the moment when wind blows by

听见腐朽的声音
在三个世界里无限传唱

I hear decadent voices
sing endlessly in three realms

歌子们摇曳着身体
变幻着不同的存在方式

singers sway their bodies
changing different life-styles

我站在屋檐下
不见过去，现在，未来

I stand under the eave
blind to past, now and future

我站在屋檐下
徒见天下乌鸦一般黑

I stand under the eave
only seeing all crows are black

If There Were No Word

如果没有文字
我们只能拥有一片树叶
如果没有文字
我们会茹饮爱人的鲜血

if there were no word
we could only have a leaf
if there were no word
we would drink lover's blood

如果没有文字，我们
只会用简单的相视一笑
或者像我们的老朋友一样
用最原始最残忍的方式
解决爱与被爱的问题

if there were no word
we could but smile at each other
or solve the problem of love
in most primitive and cruel way
just like our ancient friends

可是，我最担心的是
如果没有文字
我又如何，如何
于千万人中，呼喊
呼喊亲爱的你的名字

but my greatest worry
is that if there were no word
how could I, how could I
call my dearest one's name
among thousands of people

黑夜是我的夫人
她娇小的身躯
在我的笔尖上跳跃

night is my lady
her petite body
jumps on my nib

黑夜是我的母亲
她宽厚仁慈的胸怀
感化她顽皮的孩子

night is my mother
using her merciful breast
to reform her naughty child

黑夜是我的偶像
她没有放荡的姿态
也没有枯木的自卑

night is my idol
without dissolute posture
nor dead wood's inferiority

黑夜是我的兄弟
无论春夏秋冬
我们都风雨同舟

night is my brother
no matter in any season
we are together against storms

黑夜是我的老师
他教会了我
用冷漠的眼看世界

night is my teacher
teaching me to view the world
with a pair of detached eyes

黑夜是一个行者
几句沉默的语言
即可告慰过往的烟云

night is a practioner
using several silent words
to console the misty bygones

黑夜是一尊佛
在他的启迪下
我们去寻找光明

night is a buddha
enlightened by him
we are eager to seek light

黑夜就是众生
他们站在痛苦的角落
苦等下一个黎明

night is just all creatures
standing at the painful corner
to wait bitterly for the next dawn

黑夜就是一颗心
它静美的跳动着
仿佛顷刻就要，遍踏十方！

night is just a heart
beating with silent grace
as if to permeate everywhere
